About me

Hi, I'm Jeni, and storytelling is written in my DNA. I've been a writer from the moment I could pick up a pencil, and it permeates every aspect of my life. I currently teach courses like Public Relations Writing, Marketing Strategy, and Communication Theory and Process in the Communications Management program at the University of Denver. I'm a seasoned communications professional with experience in almost every facet of marketing and public relations, but telling stories through powerful writing is what I do best.

I have a B.A. in English Literature in Film Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and an M.A. in Public Communication from American University in Washington, D.C. 

When I'm not helping businesses grow or teaching, I write about media, culture, and life as a working mom. I'm also an avid reader and writer of fiction, and I’m almost finished with my first novel. My two elementary-aged daughters and I spend too much time in the library and at bookstores, but we like it that way!
